Record crowd vies for Box of M19 giveaway in 1st Wacky 5th Thursday Casual Comander

We had 19 players tonight for Wacky week 5 of 4 Thursday Casual Commander Tonight. We did 5 pods with 4 players each. Each pod had a random chance to win and split the box of M19 we were giving away. 9 packs per player.

 I stepped in as player 20 to make the pods even. Skye rolled the die and the pod I was in won the box... Cut to Lando Calrisian "It's not my fault!"

 So I Immediately announced that I wasn't accepting the prize packs.
I took 8 of my nine packs and had the other 4 tables randomly vie for the 8 packs ( 2 packs per player to the winning pod). we had a 2 pods tie and went to a roll off. I gave my 9th and final pack from the box to the player who lost the roll off.

Then I had 4 packs that I had won in split a box Wednesday to give out. I played in the split a box to make it an even number of players and won 4 packs.

My 4 split a box packs went to a pod that hadn't won anything yet. So 3 of the 5 pods tonight went home with prizes.

A total of 40 packs were given out tonight. 27 to my pod. 8 to another pod.

4 to a 3rd pod.

And 1 lucky player (well not so lucky, they lost the roll off for there entire table.) got a single pack.

 We start the regular 4 week Casual COmmander Cycle next Thursday.
What is that you ask?

 Each week we give out weekly prizes worth between 50-80 dollars each. We take $25 out of each weekly pod to pay for the monthly box gieway.


 Then week 4 we take that 100 dollars($25 a week x 4 weeks) and buy a box from the store to give away to a player that has participated in at least 3 of the 4 Thursday Casual Commander Events. The player that wins is Randomly determined.

 There are no prizes for Winning your pod. Just play commander and have fun. Like when everyone 1st started playing this great game and there was no internet or net decks. Just a brew you had made that you wanted to unleash on your friends.
