Magic:The Gathering (MTG)
If you are interested in learning or bringing someone to teach, simply head up to Bell's Gaming Center any time on Sunday 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Ask for the Learn to Play Magic the Gather event.
Welcome decks will be given out and you will be taught how to play Magic:The Gathering by friendly and experienced players. You will Get a DCI number that you can use to play in tournaments around the world or your local Game store.
It takes about an hour to teach someone how to play.
How it works.
Each person gets a welcome deck.
Game One They play 1 of the 2 thirty card decks.
Game 2 they play the the other 30 card deck from the welcome deck.
Game 3 they shuffle there 2 Thirty card decks together (making a standard 60 card deck)and learn the complexity of playing 2 colors. Its advantages and Advantages.
This takes about 1 hour. The player gets a pretty solid grasp of the basic mechanics of MTG.

$6 Entry Fee weekly for week 2-3-4.

(is MONDAY November 4th)
You make a Minimum 40 card deck.
Store supplies the lands if you do not have them.
Then You play 3 rounds of swiss.
3 wins gets you 3 packs
2 wins gets you 2 packs
1 win gets you 1 pack.
1 wins gets you 1 pack.
You must take prize packs home.
All Decks are collected and locked into storage.
MONDAY November 11th!
Week 2 the decks are pulled out of storage.
$6 entry fee to play week 2.
You get a new pack ofThrone of Eldraine.
Then play 3 rounds of swiss.
Same Prize structure as week 1.
Do this again for
week 3 is MONDAY November 18
and
week 4 is MONDAY November 25
Points are earned by:
3 points for a match win.
1 point for a match draw.
0 points for match loss.
At the end of week 4 the overall league winner gets a Binder, T shit, or Tank top (players Choice).
